Other Ways To Give
Just as the needs of our heroes are diverse, so too are the ways you can support our efforts. We appreciate your support, whether it is a monetary donation, a grant, stock or the gift of in-kind goods or services.
In-Kind Donations
If you or someone you know would like to make an in-kind contribution, please call us at 813-472-1574 .
Stock
Donating appreciated stocks or mutual funds can be a cost effective way of supporting the TAMCO Foundation. Giving such assets to us may allow you to avoid capital gains taxes while securing a tax deduction for yourself for the full value of the gift. For questions regarding the tax or legal aspects of your giving, we suggest you contact your legal or tax advisor.
Planned Giving
By taking advantage of incentives the IRS provides, you can make a gift that costs you nothing during your lifetime or a gift that gives you guaranteed income for life. Gifts from your will, trust or retirement plan can benefit both TAMCO Foundation and you. Gifts from an estate to the Foundation are free of federal estate taxes. You may also choose to add the TAMCO Foundation as a current or deferred beneficiary of an IRA or 401k.
Through a charitable remainder trust, you can make a gift that provides an immediate tax deduction to you as well as lifetime income for you and a loved one and long-term financial support to the Foundation. Another type of trust allows you to give property to the Foundation without being subject to gift taxation. Under this type of plan, the Foundation enjoys the benefit of your gift for a number of years before the gift passes to your heirs, free from the burden of estate taxes.
Perhaps you took out several life insurance policies when your family was young. Now your children have grown and you find yourself with more insurance coverage than you need. You could name the Foundation as the beneficiary on a policy, or you could actually donate a policy to the Foundation. If you donated a policy, you would receive an income tax deduction approximately equal to the cash surrender value of the policy.
